The Chef
Some of my earliest memories are of food. The aroma of delicious home-cooked food always filled our house. My mother was an excellent chef. Her colorful and delicious meals, prepared for family gatherings, her cooking classes and events, precipitated my interest into the culinary world. My teenage years were immersed in sports and basketball, yet over the years this love of cooking took over and filled my life.
I have now been living in France for 20 years, a country with a unique approach to cooking, a country that views cooking as not a skill but an art, a country that is ahead of all the rest when it comes to the presentation of food. I became familiar with French cooking in Paris. For seven years I owned and ran a small restaurant there, an experience that greatly enhanced my perspective and experience in cooking. Thus my recipes and meals take inspiration both from French and Persian cooking.
